I would identify as a smoothie bowl regarding how I approach interdisciplinary studies. The reason being is because upon reading the bowl of fruit illustrating multidisciplinary, I found it very difficult to relate to myself. Although there have been times where I have felt like a bowl of fruit, because there have been times where I have been presented an issue by someone and have had a hard time wrapping my head around it. It is usually left extremely blank in detail. Per the smoothie bowl, it allows you to fully understand the insights and sources of conflict, learning techniques and integrations that are deeply informed by disciplinary expertise, and it introduces the concept of interdisciplinary understanding.

There have been times where I have been presented with an issue. The logical thing to do would be evaluate the issue from both ends, and create a solution to better the situation. When I was younger, I would have considered myself a bowl of fruit because I would immediately jump to conclusions without thoroughly investigating what had happened. As I got older and matured, I began to make a transition into the smoothie bowl. My dad, who is a retired cop with 27 years of service is an extreme smoothie bowl who always gets down to the nitty gritty and will investigate every piece of evidence. That has began to rub off on me as I have seen myself dig deep into an issue and explore different avenues to go about it. When I graduate, my plan is to become a US Air Marshal. In this field, you have to be very observant with your surroundings, deescalate situations if needed, then provide an appropriate solution.
